tryptic faces of death

this is an example of what happens when I start painting with nothing in mind. They never turn out how I want, and I wake up crying in shame, filled with regret.

but they're relaxing and a good way to mess around with color and all that stuff, i guess.

Awesome!!! - do you draw out the line work and then paint? or do you just paint it straight away with value and no line art?
