pre dominance war

So i'm making a character for the pre-dominance war challenge. I'm maybe halfway done, but I thought I'd post my concept and my progress so far:

could you explain how you import multiple objects into one scene? And hide/show the selected objects?

Apparently when I import 2nd object into current scene the software will ask me to close the current and open new one. So I had to draw each objects individually..

Also, what is your setting of light casting to the model? It doesn't seem to affect the color you painting on the model.
